OFFICIAL: VGMA Finally Lifts Ban On Dancehall Musicians, Shatta Wale And Stonebwoy

The board of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) has lifted the ban it placed on dancehall stars Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy.

According to a press release sighted by YEN.com.gh, the board indicated that the decision to lift the ban was reached at a meeting of board members on January 28, 2021.

As a result, the two dancehall acts have been cleared to compete in this year’s VGMAs as well as subsequent ones.

By extension, any other artiste who had any work with the two multiple award-winning dancehall stars can submit such works for recognition.
