Students and Police clash over seizure of Phones

Some students of Kpandai Senior High School (SHS) have come into conflict with the school authorities and the District Police Commander because their Headmaster, Mr. Mugisu Abubakari seized more than hundred of their phones.

Before the seizure, the headmaster asked the students to willingly give their phones to him. He also pledged to return them after completion of their final exams, according to Adom News monitored by Ghana Articles.

Yet, no student agreed. As a result, he conducted an intense search which resulted in the seizure of more than hundred phones.

However, this exercise got the students angry. They began to ruin the school’s properties, which called for the police reinforcement to put them in order.

The Kpandai District Peace Council was later called to come between when students bombarded the Kpandai District Police Commander, DSP Bernard Nugan and his team with stones and other objects which wounded the Commander and about five other personnel upon arrival.
