The state has filed key witness statements in the ongoing GH¢49 million fraud case involving Kwabena Adu Boahen, former Director-General of the National Signals Bureau, his wife Angela Adjei-Boateng, associate Mildred Boateng, and their jointly owned company, Adantage Solutions Limited.

The accused are facing multiple charges, including stealing, causing financial loss to the state, and conspiracy. The charges stem from a cybersecurity procurement scheme allegedly used to siphon funds from the state.

On Tuesday, June 3, Citi News confirmed the state’s submission of three critical witness statements. These were presented by:

  • Frank Marshall Crowell, the case investigator;
  • Edith Ruby Adumuah, Director of Finance at the National Signals Bureau;
  • Frank Anane Dekpey, an errand boy for the accused persons.

According to the investigator’s testimony, the accused persons diverted GH¢49 million in state funds under the guise of acquiring a cybersecurity defense system.

In her statement, Ms. Adumuah highlighted multiple suspicious transactions allegedly orchestrated by her former boss, Adu Boahen, which align with the amount reported as missing. These transactions reportedly lacked the required transparency and failed to follow established financial procedures.
