The Tema Circuit Court has granted bail in the sum of GH¢100,000 to Veronica Vorsah, headmistress of St. Olives School of Grammar in Dodowa, with two sureties.

Ms Vorsah is facing two charges: causing harm, contrary to Section 69 of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29), and assault under Section 84 of the same Act.

The charges follow a Channel One News exposé that revealed the alleged abuse of an eight-year-old pupil, Jalila Abdul Jalil, which subsequently triggered police investigations.
