The Minister of Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has relieved Kwadwo Gyamfi Osafo-Maafo of his duties as the Director of Cyber Security at the National Communications Authority (NCA).
A letter signed by the Chief Director of the Ministry, Alexander Yaw Arphul, on February 14, confirmed the termination, stating that it takes immediate effect. Mr. Osafo-Maafo has been instructed to hand over his responsibilities to the Acting Director General of the NCA.
In accordance with paragraph 8 of his appointment letter, he will receive three months’ salary in lieu of notice.
Minister Sam George expressed his gratitude to Mr. Osafo-Maafo for his service to the nation.
