2021 was a good year in music for women, especially when it came to streaming! Music was one of the things we could all look forward to bring positive vibes throughout the pandemic.

As the end of the year is quickly approaching, we had to show some love to some of the female artists who topped Spotify’s list of Top 50 Female Artists of 2021! Some of your favorites are on the list including, Ariana Grande, Doja Cat, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Megan Thee Stallion, and more.

As you know, Spotify dropped their “Wrapped” list celebrating the top artists, albums, songs, podcasts, and more that defined how more than 381 million people around the world listened and discovered audio.
According to Chart Data, Taylor Swift topped the year-end chart for the first time. However, she falls in good company with Ariana Grande, Olivia Rodrigo, Dua Lipa, Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Karol G, and Adele, who landed in the top ten spots.

The female rappers held their own on the list, with Nicki Minaj coming in at 15, Megan Thee Stallion at 16, Cardi B at 21, and Saweetie at 41. Although the girls held it down in streaming, Spotify also recognized Puerto Rican Reggaeton star Bad Bunny. For the second year in a row, Bunny took the title of most-streamed artist in the world on the platform. He’s received over 9.1 billion streams without releasing a new album this year! Bunny is followed by Taylor Swift, BTS, Drake, and Justin Beiber, ending the list! Congrats to all the artists who were recognized this year.
