Richard Quaye Retires as Bills Micro Credit Board Chair; Kwadwo Kwarteng Takes Over

Renowned business magnate Richard Nii Armah Quaye has officially retired from his executive roles at Bills Micro Credit and Quick Angels, ending a significant chapter in his entrepreneurial leadership journey.

Speaking at a press conference to announce his departure, Mr. Quaye called for a bold economic and financial revolution to tackle Ghana’s rising unemployment, placing strong emphasis on youth empowerment and homegrown investment.

“My dream is about the young people of Ghana… I see a future where they have united to turn around our economic fortunes,” he said, encouraging investors to retain capital within the country to scale local enterprises and spur job creation.

Succeeding Mr. Quaye as the new Board Chairman of Bills Micro Credit is Lawyer Kwadwo Dei Kwarteng, a seasoned legal and corporate governance expert with over 15 years of experience. In his address, Lawyer Kwarteng pledged to sustain the company’s mission of supporting entrepreneurship and innovation while reinforcing regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.

Additionally, Emmanuel Lamptey was introduced as the new CEO of Quick Angels. He promised to build on the company’s legacy by exploring new investment opportunities and deepening economic transformation efforts.

The event also saw the launch of RNAQ Holdings, a new corporate venture with Mr. Quaye as President, marking the start of a fresh chapter in his business leadership.
