President John Dramani Mahama has nominated 15 individuals for ambassadorial, high commissioner, and consul-general positions to represent Ghana in key foreign missions across the globe.
The nominations, made after consultations with the Council of State, were announced in a statement dated June 10, 2025, and signed by Callistus Mahama, Ph.D., Secretary to the President. The appointments cover strategic countries such as China, South Africa, Germany, Brazil, Canada, and others.

Kojo Bonsu – ambassador to China
Benjamin A. Quashie – high commissioner to South Africa
Prof. Ohene Adjei – ambassador to Germany
Kutsourne Shanae Bafooe – ambassador to Spain
Hammed Rashid Tunde Ali – ambassador to the United Arab Emirates
Grace El Mahmoud Marabe – consul-general in Dubai
Hon. Captain George Kofi Nfodjo – ambassador to Togo
Abdul Nasiru-Deen – ambassador to Turkey
Joseph Ackah-Mensah – ambassador to the Czech Republic
Prof. Kwesi Obiri-Danso – high commissioner to India
Dora Francisca Edu-Buandoh, Ph.D. – high commissioner to Canada
Dr. Margaret Nkrumah Chibere – ambassador to Denmark
Labik Joseph Yaari – ambassador to Equatorial Guinea
Nii Amasah Namoale – ambassador to Brazil
Dr. Felix Kumah Godwin Anebo – ambassador to Senegal
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been directed to begin the necessary procedures to finalize the appointments and ensure their smooth deployment.
These nominations are part of President Mahama’s strategy to strengthen Ghana’s diplomatic presence and enhance international cooperation.
