Police Launch Manhunt for 8 Suspected Armed Robbers After Gas Station Heist in Somanya

Law enforcement authorities in Somanya are currently in pursuit of eight individuals believed to be armed robbers who targeted the SP GAS Filling station in Trom, within the Yilo Krobo Municipality. During the incident, which occurred at approximately 7:30 pm on Wednesday, October 11, the armed assailants physically assaulted the station’s pump attendants in an attempt to extract information regarding the location of the daily earnings and safe.

 

The entire operation spanned a duration of ten minutes, during which the perpetrators also incapacitated the CCTV camera installed at the station before making their escape.

Although a police patrol team in the vicinity did respond to the incident, they arrived too late and found the robbers had already absconded.

 

In the interim, the police have called upon the owner of the facility to cooperate with their ongoing investigative efforts. Furthermore, authorities are appealing to the public for any assistance or information that might facilitate the apprehension of these alleged robbers.
