The Ghana Police Service has interdicted five officers for misconduct involving the unauthorised use of official police uniforms on social media platforms.
In a press release issued on December 16, 2025, the Police Service said the action followed findings of multiple breaches related to how the officers presented themselves online while wearing police attire.
The officers interdicted are G/Sgt. Samuel Agbemanyale (No. 45545), G/Cpl. Isaac Pipere (No. 50300), G/Cpl. Samuel Agbo (No. 51816), G/Cpl. Charles Oduro (No. 56803), and PW/Const. Elizabeth Dicka Korkor (No. 14494).
According to the statement from the Public Affairs Directorate at the Police Headquarters in Accra, the officers have been referred to the Police Professional Standards Bureau for further investigations and the application of appropriate disciplinary measures.
The Police Service reiterated its commitment to upholding professionalism and discipline within its ranks, warning officers against conduct that undermines the image and integrity of the service, particularly on social media.
The statement further cautioned all personnel to adhere strictly to regulations governing the use of police uniforms and online conduct.
