Police Arrest Three Suspects Over iPhone 17 and Gold Necklace Robbery at Kwabenya

The Ghana Police Service has arrested three suspects in connection with a robbery incident at Kwabenya in the Greater Accra Region, which occurred on January 18, 2026.

The arrests were carried out by the Surveillance Unit of the National Operations Directorate following weeks of intelligence-led investigations into the case.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, February 5, 2026, the police disclosed that two armed men attacked a residence at Kwabenya and made away with two iPhone 17 Pro Max mobile phones, a gold necklace, an Apple Watch, GH¢14,000 in cash, a car key, and US$300. The assailants also forced the victim to log out of his iCloud account on one of the stolen phones before fleeing the scene.

After sustained surveillance and operational planning, police arrested three suspects identified as Francis Amo, popularly known as Agogo; Anthony Boateng, also called Aisha Kojo; and Musah Ibrahim, alias Coded. According to police sources, Musah Ibrahim allegedly acted as the receiver of the stolen items.

The police indicated that the suspects have admitted their involvement in the robbery.

A search conducted at the residence of Anthony Boateng led to the retrieval of one iPhone 17 Pro Max, an Apple Watch, and a Samsung Fold mobile phone. Officers also recovered several offensive weapons, including a truncheon, a short machete, knives, scissors, lighters, and a face shield.

The suspects are currently in police custody and assisting with ongoing investigations. Police say efforts are underway to recover the remaining stolen items and to arrest any other individuals linked to the robbery.
