Police Arrest Suspect in Murder of Timber Guards at Nsuhia

The Bono Regional Police Command has arrested a suspect in connection with the murder of two ADRAS Timber Concession guards and the burning of a vehicle at Mpamso Forest near Nsuhia in the Dormaa Central Municipality. The tragic incident occurred on October 26, 2025.

In a statement signed by Chief Inspector Thomas Akeelah, Public Relations Officer for the Bono Regional Police Command, the police revealed that intelligence-led operations led to the arrest of 45-year-old motor mechanic, Bashiru Kinda.

A search conducted at his residence reportedly uncovered an Automatic Bruni Model 96 9mm K pistol loaded with three rounds of 7.65mm ammunition, four mobile phones, machetes, talismans, and other amulets.

The police indicated that investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend other suspects connected to the crime. Arrangements are being made to arraign the arrested suspect before court.
