Police Arrest Four Suspects, Seize Drugs and Gaming Machines in Paga Swoop

The Upper East Regional Police Command has arrested four suspects and seized suspected narcotic drugs and gaming machines during a targeted swoop on criminal hideouts and drug peddling locations in Paga in the Upper East Region.

The suspects, Kofi Boateng, Eric Owusu, and Godwin Agosa, all identified as porters, and Abdul Aziz Bukari, a driver’s mate were arrested on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at various locations along the Paga border.

During the operation, police retrieved eight jackpot gaming machines, thirteen rolls of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, three mobile phones, three scissors, three lighters, one power bank, one empty phone case, and an amount of GH¢25.

All four suspects are currently in police custody assisting with investigations. The police say individuals found culpable will be arraigned before court to face the full rigours of the law.

The Upper East Regional Police Command has reiterated its commitment to clamping down on drug-related activities and criminal operations across the region.
