Parliament to reconvene on February 3

The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has announced that the second session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic will commence on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.

According to a Constitutional Instrument issued on Monday, January 19, 2026, Parliament will reconvene at Parliament House in Accra at exactly 12 noon.

The announcement, signed by the Speaker, was made in accordance with clause (1) of Article 112 of the 1992 Constitution, which empowers the Speaker to summon Parliament.

The Constitutional Instrument formally notifies Members of Parliament, stakeholders, and the general public of the resumption of parliamentary business for the second session of the year.
