The Minister of State at the Presidency in charge of Special Initiatives and Member of Parliament for Nkoranza South, Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, says more than 100 children in his constituency have been named after him in recognition of his developmental efforts.

Speaking on Citi Eyewitness News on Tuesday, November 18, Mr. Agyekum said the gesture reflects the deep appreciation residents have for his commitment to improving every community within Nkoranza South.

He explained that he has constructed at least one school in each community, a contribution he believes has strongly resonated with constituents.

According to him, his track record has also made internal party contests rare, as he often runs unopposed due to the confidence residents have in his leadership.

Mr. Agyekum added that the admiration from constituents has led many parents to name their children after him.

“They have named over 100 children after me. My name is Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, and it is a fact on the ground. Somebody named four of his children after me,” he said.
