‘Open Our Cinemas’ – Actress Yvonne Nelson Tells President Akufo-Addo

Multiple award-winning actress cum film producer, Yvonne Nelson starts a campaign asking President Nana Akufo-Addo to open cinemas.

Following the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, as part of the measures put in place by the government to stop the spread of the virus.

The President in his last address to the nation announced that Cinemas, pubs, beaches  and night clubs remained closed until further notice.

Last Month, government bought the covid-19 vaccine which has been distributed across nationwide with ten thousands of Ghanaians already taken the jab.

Miss Yvonne Nelson‘s plea comes comes after the country has seen a drastic drop in the number of recorded cases since the arrival of the covid-19 vaccine.

The film producer believes this is the right time for government to open cinemas so they can start making some money from the movies they have shot so far.
