The National Service Scheme (NSS) has released arrears for April following a strike declaration by the Concerned National Service Scheme (NSS) Personnel Association of Ghana (CONSPAG). The nationwide strike, which began on July 3, 2024, was initiated due to unpaid allowances, significantly impacting the livelihoods of the personnel.
In a swift response, the National Executive Council of the National Service Personnel Association announced in a statement on Wednesday, July 3, that the Secretariat has released the payment for April, which is expected to reflect in personnel accounts by July 5, 2024. Additionally, May allowances are expected to be paid shortly after the April funds are reflected.
Personnel have been urged to remain calm as the outstanding issues are being resolved.
