The National Service Scheme (NSS) has begun recruiting National Service graduates and unemployed youth for a six-month volunteer program.
This initiative addresses the high volume of applications from the youth and aims to tackle youth unemployment in the country. In a statement released in Accra on Thursday, the NSS announced that the recruitment will target various sectors, including sanitation, teaching, agriculture, health, and other areas that align with the government’s efforts to promote environmental health, cleanliness, and sustainable development.
The NSS also mentioned that an online application system will soon be available on their website to streamline the selection process. They encourage spreading awareness about this opportunity among potential candidates and providing guidance and support throughout the application process.
