The National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, has acknowledged that the upcoming 2024 general elections will present significant challenges for the ruling party. In a recent statement, Nana B expressed his belief that the NPP would ultimately emerge victorious in this demanding electoral battle.
Nana B stated, “Election 2024 is going to be, for me, the most difficult elections for the New Patriotic Party, but my strong belief is that we shall prevail… As the National Organizer, I know that the battle ahead is going to be the most difficult battle, but I say it to the glory of God that we shall prevail.”
This acknowledgment comes on the heels of the NPP’s selection of Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as its leader. Dr. Bawumia secured an impressive victory in the leadership contest, with 61.47% of the total votes cast, outperforming his closest rival, Ken Ohene Agyapong.
As the NPP prepares for the 2024 general elections, speculation abounds regarding potential running mates for Dr. Bawumia. Names like Kennedy Agyapong, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, Frema Osei Opare, and Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh have emerged in the public discourse as potential choices to complement the NPP’s ticket.
The anticipation for the 2024 elections is growing, with the NPP recognizing the formidable challenge they face, even as they express confidence in their ability to secure victory.
