‘NPP Nearly Lost the 2020 Elections Because of Selfishness and Greed’ – Hawa Koomson Reveals

MP-elect for Awutu Senya East constituency, Madam Mavis Hawa Koomson has descended on the supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for voting against her in the parliamentary election.

According to her, it was very unfortunate that some party supporters voted against her due to some trivial issues.

“Shame unto all those who voted against me because I did not give them money or other material things. some party supporters harbored hatred against me, campaigned against me, and voted against my candidature” Hawa Koomson said while addressing a gathering over the weekend.

Hawa Koomson disclosed that NPP nearly lost the seat and presidency due to disunity and disloyalty.

“We nearly lost the presidency,we nearly lost because of selfishness and greed. If we love the party, we should support it with love and unity.We should not allow pain and disunity to destroy the party.We should not say because Hawa Koomson shared handkerchiefs and did not give me,I will not vote for her.We should not say Hawa Koomson did not give me money so I will not vote for her,shame unto you”  Hawa Koomson disclosed.

Hawa Koomson called for continuous support for the party at all levels so that they will continue to remain in office to transform Ghana.
