The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has scheduled its regional elections for Saturday, November 14, 2026, as part of the party’s internal reorganisation process.
The announcement was made by the NDC’s General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, at a press briefing on Thursday, January 29. He said the elections will follow the party’s established electoral roadmap, beginning with nominations and ending with the election of regional executives across the country.
According to Mr Kwetey, the picking of nomination forms will take place from Tuesday, October 6, to Wednesday, October 7, while the filing of nominations is scheduled for Wednesday, October 14, to Thursday, October 15.
Vetting of aspirants will be conducted on Friday, October 16, and Saturday, October 17, with appeals to be heard on Sunday, October 18, and Monday, October 19.
He added that a regional youth and women’s conference will be organised ahead of the main elections to elect regional youth and women leaders.
“The final one will be the date for the regional elections, which will be Saturday, November 14, and Sunday, November 16. So by the close of that Sunday, the party will be in a position to have all our regional executives,” Mr Kwetey stated.
The NDC says the elections form a key part of preparations to strengthen party structures at the regional level ahead of future political activities.
