Professor Richard Kofi Asiedu, the Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has announced the party’s ambitious plan to secure victory in 20 out of the 23 Parliamentary seats in the Central Region for the upcoming 2024 elections.

Speaking at an awards ceremony organized by the Agona West NDC Youth Wing’s Working Committee in Agona Swedru, Prof Asiedu emphasized the party’s determination to achieve this goal. Additionally, the committee is focused on securing a convincing 60 percent of the votes for the NDC’s Presidential Candidate, John Dramani Mahama. Prof Asiedu highlighted the prevailing economic hardships in the country, emphasizing the dissatisfaction among Ghanaians, which he believes will work in favor of the NDC.

Furthermore, he stressed the importance of unity within the party, urging the Agona West Parliamentary Candidate, Mrs. Ernetina Dangbe, to foster a united front to reclaim the seat from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP). Prof Asiedu underscored that victory for the NDC’s parliamentary candidate would require cooperation and mutual understanding among party members.
