YouTuber MrBeast, also known as Jimmy Donaldson, along with Amazon and other production companies, has been hit with a $5 million lawsuit related to his upcoming series Beast Games. Contestants allege exploitation, unsafe conditions, and sexual harassment during filming.
The series, which offered 1,000 participants a chance to win a $5 million prize, has been accused of subjecting participants to poor treatment, including limited food, sleep deprivation, and dangerous conditions.
Additionally, some claimants highlight a hostile work environment, particularly for women, citing sexism and harassment.
Filed on September 16 in Los Angeles, the case also argues that contestants were essentially employees and should have been compensated for their labor.
Two women among the plaintiffs are seeking further damages for the hostile work environment. Representatives for MrBeast and Amazon have not yet commented on the allegations.
