
Mfantsipim Senior High School has made history once again by winning the 2025 edition of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), securing their fourth national title in the prestigious academic competition.

This year’s nationwide contest featured top senior high schools across Ghana, all vying for the coveted trophy through rigorous preliminary and knockout stages. After weeks of intense competition, Mfantsipim SHS, St. Augustine’s College, and Opoku Ware Senior High School advanced to the grand finale.

The final contest, held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at the University of Cape Coast, saw Mfantsipim SHS display exceptional teamwork and problem-solving skills. The event was charged with excitement as supporters from all three schools filled the auditorium with cheers and school chants.

At the end of the thrilling competition, Mfantsipim SHS emerged victorious with 56 points, followed by St. Augustine’s College with 42 points, and Opoku Ware SHS with 29 points.
The triumph marks a significant milestone for Mfantsipim, affectionately known as “Botwe,” reaffirming its legacy as one of Ghana’s leading academic institutions and a powerhouse in the National Science and Maths Quiz history.
