Man Arrested for Alleged Mu!rder of G@y Partner in Takoradi

Bernard Kojo Ankrah has been arrested for allegedly murdering his partner, Jones Carlos Rodrigues Da Silva, in Takoradi. According to Ankrah, they had been in a relationship, meeting regularly in Accra.

The incident occurred on October 12, 2024, at Rodrigues Da Silva’s residence. Ankrah claims they had agreed on a GHS 30,000 payment for a s#xu@l encounter. However, when Rodrigues Da Silva reduced the amount to GHS 20,000, an argument ensued.

Ankrah alleges that Rodrigues Da Silva threatened him with a knife, leading to a physical struggle, during which Rodrigues Da Silva was k!lled. After the incident, Ankrah fled with the victim’s phone and vehicle.

Police tracked Ankrah down and arrested him on October 17, 2024. He was arraigned before the Takoradi District Court on October 21, 2024, and has been remanded into police custody by Her Worship Catherine Obiri Addo.
