
President John Dramani Mahama on Sunday, January 11, 2026, departed Accra for the United Kingdom to hold meetings with coordinators of the Accra Reset Initiative.
In a statement issued by the Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the trip forms part of the President’s broader engagement with international partners to advance Ghana’s development priorities.
Following the meetings in the United Kingdom, President Mahama is expected to travel to Davos, Switzerland, where he will participate in a session of the World Economic Forum.
The statement indicated that the President will also use the opportunity to hold a series of bilateral meetings with world leaders on the margins of the Davos Forum. These engagements are aimed at strengthening Ghana’s international partnerships and promoting key elements of the country’s economic and development agenda.
The World Economic Forum brings together global political and business leaders annually to discuss pressing international economic, social and political issues, offering Ghana a platform to deepen cooperation and attract investment.
