Lil Win’s case: “We are awaiting Attorney General’s Advice” – Prosecution tells Court

The police prosecutors have informed the Asokore Mampong District Court that they are waiting for guidance from the Attorney General’s Office concerning the case involving actor Kwadwo Nkansah, widely known as Lil Win.

On Monday, June 3, 2024, Lil Win was arrested and subsequently granted bail by the court, set at GH¢50,000 with two sureties.

The arrest was related to a car accident involving the actor’s vehicle, which tragically resulted in the death of a three-year-old boy.

Following the child’s death, the boy’s family has been vocally demanding justice. The police indicated that the delay in arresting Lil Win was due to his medical condition.

The prosecution mentioned that they have sent the case file to the Attorney General’s Office and are awaiting their advice.

Lil Win’s lawyer, Nana Bonsu Kyeretwie, stated that the Attorney General’s advice will determine their subsequent actions.

“The prosecution needs to establish their case for us to respond accordingly. Until then, we await the Attorney General’s guidance as per his duty,” he said.

The court has rescheduled the hearing to July 29, 2024.
