Oliver Barker-Vormawor, the lead convenor of the ‘Democracy Hub’ protest, has once again been denied bail by the Accra High Court.
The presiding judge expressed concerns that Barker-Vormawor may commit another offense if granted bail.
Barker-Vormawor is one of 53 individuals facing charges including conspiracy, unlawful assembly, causing unlawful damage, offensive conduct, and defacement of public property.
Additionally, he is the only one charged with an extra count of theft at the Circuit Court.
This latest bail denial follows an earlier rejection by the Circuit Court during his first appearance on September 26, 2024.
His legal team, led by Justice Srem-Sai, had filed an application for bail at the High Court, but it was denied on Tuesday, October 7, 2024.
