At Kwayeano, a suburb of Nkwatia, police carried out a cordon-and-search exercise which led to the retrieval of forty-six wraps of dried leaves suspected to be narcotic drugs.

The team later moved to an estate near the Nkwatia SDA School, where two suspects, Kwame Asomani, aged 27, and Kwasi Dwamena, aged 25, were arrested. The suspects were found in possession of quantities of dried leaves believed to be narcotic substances.
