Kenya’s President Ruto Dissolves Entire Cabinet

President William Ruto has announced the dismissal of all members of his Cabinet.

During a media briefing at State House Nairobi on July 11, President Ruto stated that only Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi will retain his position. Additionally, the office of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua remains unaffected by this sweeping change.

The president explained that this decision was driven by widespread public dissatisfaction with the government. “After reflecting and carefully listening to the voices of Kenyans, and conducting a thorough evaluation of my Cabinet’s performance, achievements, and challenges, I have decided, under the authority granted to me by Article 152(1) and 152(5)(b) of the Constitution and Section 12 of the Office of the Attorney-General Act, to dismiss all Cabinet Secretaries and the Attorney-General from their positions, with the exception of the Prime Cabinet Secretary and the Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs,” he declared.
