Joyce Blessing Sues Power FM Over ‘Lesbian Tag’

 

Gospel Singer Joyce Akosua Twene who is known in the showbiz fraternity as Joyce Blessing has dragged the management of Accra-based radio station, Power FM to court over comments she found inappropriate on their platform.

Recalled that a lady identified as Linda on Power FM’s ‘Power Entertainment’ Show alleged that Joyce Blessing is into drugs and lesbianism.

The lady also alleged that some of the three children of Joyce Blessing with husband, Dave Joy were fathered by music producer, Kwesi Ernest.

Well, it appears the allegation made by the lady did not sit well with Joyce Blessing which triggered her to drag the media house to court.

In a writ sent to Power FM, Joyce Blessing requested that the management of the platform rendered an unqualified apology and retraction from today 12th September 2020 and repeated on the 19th and 26th of September,2020

According to the legal team of Joyce Blessing, comments made by Linda on their platform subjected the ‘Adam Nana’ hitmaker to public ridicule which threatens her career and has the tendency of destroying her marriage.

“Our client’s attention has been drawn to a radio programme on your station christened ‘POWER ENTERTAINMENT’ which is aired on every Saturday afternoon. That on Saturday, the 5th of September, 2020 during the airing of the program you allowed a lady by name, Linda who among other things informed the world at large that our client is her Lesbian partner and that some of the three children our client are fathered by a certain, Kwesi Ernest knowing that these allegations are untrue”, portions of the writ read.
