A Form Three student of Islamic Senior High School in Kumasi, identified only as Abass, has died after reportedly falling from the top floor of the school’s administration block on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
Abass, a Business student and acting Boys’ Prefect, is said to have fallen during school hours, prompting students and staff to rush to the scene.
He was immediately transported to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Sources close to the family disclosed that the deceased had previously made comments suggesting emotional distress, though these were not taken seriously at the time. School authorities stated they were unaware of any such intentions.
The school has since informed the Ashanti Regional Ghana Education Service, which is yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
The body has been buried in accordance with Islamic traditions.
