“I’m sorry and I beg the whole nation” – Chef Smith goes on his Knees to Apologize to Ghanaians

Ghanaian chef Ebenezer Smith, known for falsely declaring himself as the Guinness World Record (GWR) holder for the longest cooking marathon, has issued a public apology.

At a press conference in Accra on Tuesday, Chef Smith claimed to hold the GWR for the longest cooking marathon by an individual. However, verification with GWR revealed that the certificate he displayed was not authentic.

In an interview teaser shared by Accra-based GHOne TV on Facebook on Saturday, July 6, 2024, Chef Smith expressed regret, saying, “I’m so sorry, I don’t deserve to… I’m sorry and I beg the whole nation.” He acknowledged that his false claim had caused him significant trouble.
