I Never Knew My Father Was Rich Until He Died – Mzbel

Popular Ghanaian songstress and businesswoman Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah well known as Mzbel has disclosed that she did not know her father was rich until his death.

The father of the songstress, Mr. Alex Amoah died on Thursday, January 27th, 2022. Mzbel was hosting her night show on Onua FM when the news of her father’s death was broken to her.

In a video that popped up on social media, Mzbel was seen bursting into tears s she was forced to end her night show.

She told her listeners that if she did not go, she will not have the opportunity to see her father’s corpse because he was a Muslim and would be buried.

In a recent interview with ZionFelix TV, Mzbel disclosed that if her father had not kicked the bucket, she would not have known that her father was rich.

She revealed some benevolent acts of her father to others.

Mzbel also revealed that she was told how her father used to pay for the flight tickets and gave money to at least two people annually to the Holy Land Mecca until Covid set in and travelling was banned.

Mzbel further added that she also found out that her father has numerous properties in his name but he wanted to live as a simple man and also disliked living an extravagant lifestyle.

“My father had a big preparatory school and an orphanage home among other things”.

Songstress Mzbel also added that her father’s death was not a surprise to her because it was expected because her father was battling a long illness until his demise. She disclosed that she regrets not spending much time with her father until his demise.

Mzbel’s father was buried on Friday, January 28th in line with the Islamic custom.
