President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has reaffirmed his pride in his accomplishments during his seven years as Ghana’s leader, dismissing claims of betrayal and emphasizing his administration’s achievements.
Addressing the Diplomatic Corps in Peduase, President Akufo-Addo highlighted his government’s achievements across various sectors, including the management of the national economy, education, healthcare, infrastructure development, digitalization, agricultural and industrial transformation, and the fight against corruption and environmental degradation.
He asserted, “Whether it is in the management of the national economy, in education, healthcare, roads development, railways development, digitalisation, infrastructural development in general, agricultural and industrial transformation, the fight against corruption, the battle against environmental degradation, the response of the Convid-19 pandemic, the record is there for all to see.”
President Akufo-Addo expressed confidence in his performance, stating, “I can say in all good conscience that I have not betrayed the mandate that the good people of Ghana conferred on me.”
His remarks come amidst scrutiny and criticism of his administration, with some questioning the pace and effectiveness of development initiatives.
