Hearts of Oak midfielder Emmanuel Nettey is disappointed by the cancellation of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season.
The midfielder who joined the Phobians at the start of the campaign was enjoying a good season before the league was halted due to the coronavirus outbreak in Ghana.
Last Tuesday, the Ghana Football Association Executive Council agreed to end the campaign after a marathon meeting following the increasing cases of COVID-19.
“It was a blow when I heard it because I was expecting the resumption of the league so we could continue from where we left off,” he told Citisports.
“We were factored into the decision that was taken and they thought it was not right for football to continue.
“In as much as it was a blow to me I have no option than to accept it and also tone down on the intensity of my training.”
The Phobians were 8th on the table after 14 games before the season was halted and eventually cancelled.
