Government of Ghana Urges Ghanaians to Leave Lebanon Amid Growing Crisis

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has issued a statement urging all Ghanaians living in Lebanon to leave the country immediately, citing the rapidly worsening security situation.

The Ghanaian government expressed deep concern about the potential danger to its citizens due to the ongoing crisis in Lebanon.

The press release, dated October 4, 2024, advised Ghanaian nationals in Lebanon to take advantage of the limited flights available and exit the country without delay.

For those without travel documents, the government has made provisions for Emergency Travel Certificates, which can be obtained from the Embassy of Ghana in Cairo, Egypt, or the Honorary Consulate in Beirut, Lebanon.

Additionally, those requiring assistance to secure Exit Permits were encouraged to reach out to the Ghanaian embassy or consulate through provided contact details.

The government emphasized the importance of acting promptly on this advice to avoid any emergencies.
