Tragic news struck the Ghanaian media community as Michael Osei, professionally known as Nana Yaw Osei Tenkorang, was found dead in his Takoradi residence. The 35-year-old, renowned for his role as the morning show host on New Day TV, failed to report for work on February 4, 2024, prompting concern among colleagues and friends.
Despite numerous attempts to contact him, Osei remained unresponsive, raising suspicions about his well-being. After his residence’s gates were found secured and his phone continuously ringing unanswered, fellow tenants assisted in gaining access to his room, only to discover him unresponsive on his bed.
Efforts to rush him to the hospital proved futile, as he was pronounced dead upon arrival. Osei, a fourth-year Public Relations student at Islamic University, boasted a wealth of experience in the media industry, having previously worked with various local outlets in Koforidua, including Starr TV.
Close friend Kwaku Nkansah Obrempon mourned Osei’s sudden passing, urging affected individuals to keep the family in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Survived by a wife and two children in Akyem Tafo, Eastern Region, Nana Yaw Osei Tenkorang’s untimely demise has left a profound void in Ghana’s media landscape.
