Health authorities have confirmed 34 new cases of Mpox, bringing the country’s total to 79. Officials from the Ghana Health Service (GHS) report that four patients are currently receiving medical care under close observation.

In response to the recent surge, intensified contact tracing efforts are underway to curb further spread. While concerns have risen among the public, health officials assure citizens that the situation remains under control.

To prevent transmission, the GHS urges residents to maintain strict personal hygiene, avoid close contact with individuals displaying symptoms particularly those with unexplained rashes, and seek medical attention if symptoms appear.
