John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), emphasized that Ghana requires experienced leadership to address its economic challenges.
Speaking in Sandema during his Upper East region campaign tour, Mahama argued that the country cannot afford experimental leadership at this critical time.
“This is the time when we need an experienced driver, not a driver’s mate,” Mahama stated. He highlighted the need for a trusted and capable team to steer the country towards economic recovery, stressing that young people cannot afford to waste time on unproven leaders.
“Our young people have no more time to waste on experiments. We don’t want any experimental leader to come and say we should try him and that even after four years if I don’t do well, you can change me. No. The time for experimentation is past. This is the time for trust and experience,” Mahama asserted.
