The Black Stars of Ghana have climbed two places in the latest FIFA World Ranking, following their strong finish to the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.
The four-time African champions, who previously rose by one position in the last update, now sit 73rd in the world after a successful October international window.
Despite this progress globally, Ghana maintain their 14th position on the African continent.
Under head coach Otto Addo, the team recorded an impressive 5–0 victory over Madagascar in Morocco and a narrow 1–0 win against Comoros at the Accra Sports Stadium.
These results secured Ghana’s top spot in Group I and confirmed their qualification for the 2026 World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
With qualification sealed, the Black Stars will now prepare for upcoming international friendlies against Japan and South Korea on November 14 and 18, respectively, as part of their build-up to the global tournament.
