Felicity Ahafiayo, the Head of Central Analysis and Forecasting at the Ghana Meteorological Agency, has highlighted that the existing heat wave, signified by the recent foggy weather in the capital, is expected to persist until the end of January 2024.
Ahafiayo emphasized that the prevailing environmental conditions are fostering this weather pattern, specifically attributing the warm weather to the influence of the harmattan, which will continue to prevail into the upcoming year.
Madam Ahafiayo underlined that localized weather conditions are contingent upon environmental factors, elaborating on the contributing elements leading to the sustained hot weather pattern.
The Ghana Meteorological Agency’s forecast indicates a continued prevalence of these warm conditions, extending through the month of January 2024, with the ongoing heat wave expected to persist across the region.
