Ghana Breaks Into Top 10 in All African Games Medal Standings

On Sunday, Egypt exceeded its target of 60 medals at the ongoing 2023 All African Games, while Algeria secured eight additional medals. Despite South Africa maintaining a steady position in third place, Nigeria’s remarkable performance on Super Sunday, including winning seven gold medals, propelled them to fourth place in the medal standings.

However, the highlight of the day was Ghana’s entry into the top 10 rankings, with the host nation securing just four medals. While this achievement marks Ghana’s best day thus far in the games, it also underscores the country’s comparatively lower position in the medal table, a fact that may be disappointing for a host nation.
