The Ghana Armed Forces has arrested a candidate for presenting forged documents during the ongoing recruitment exercise at the El-Wak Stadium in Accra.
The exercise, which resumed on Thursday, November 20, 2025, had been suspended on November 12 following a stampede that killed six applicants. Nearly 1,000 candidates have since passed through the screening process.
Director of Protocol for the Ghana Armed Forces, Colonel Evelyn Asamoah, confirmed the arrest and said the suspect would be processed according to established military and legal procedures.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of Parliament’s Defence and Interior Committee, James Agalga, who led a monitoring team to the venue, expressed satisfaction with how the recruitment exercise is being conducted.
