Four Arrested Over Violent Attack at Oyarifa Homowo Festival

The Ghana Police Service has arrested four suspects following a violent attack during the Oyarifa Homowo festival on Saturday, September 7, 2024, which left three people injured.

The suspects, identified as Latif Bako, Ebenezer Ewuzie, Stephen Owusu, and Ebenezer Adjei, reportedly assaulted the victims with machetes during the festival. Both the victims and suspect Ebenezer Adjei, who also sustained injuries, are receiving medical treatment.

Latif Bako, Stephen Owusu, and Ebenezer Ewuzie remain in police custody, assisting with investigations, while efforts are underway to arrest the remaining accomplices who are currently at large.

The police assured the public through a post on social media platform X that any individual involved in disturbing the peace will face legal consequences.
