Afrifa Yamoah Ponko, a former Board Member of Asante Kotoko and prominent figure in Ghanaian politics, has passed away. Ponko, who had been battling a long-term illness, died on Sunday, October 6, 2024.
He was not only a key figure in sports but also an influential member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC). Ponko served as the Chief Executive of the Ejisu/Juaben Municipal Assembly, where he made significant contributions to local governance and development.
