President John Mahama has appointed Florence Adei Ohene as the second Deputy Managing Director of Consolidated Bank Ghana Ltd (CBG), a move expected to further enhance the bank’s executive leadership and drive its strategic vision.
With over 25 years of experience in local and international banking, Florence brings to the role a wealth of expertise in wealth management, corporate banking, business transformation, and diaspora finance. She previously held executive roles at uniBank and worked with global banking giants including JP Morgan Chase, PNC Bank, and SunTrust Bank in the United States.
Until her recent appointment, she led CBG’s International and Diaspora Business, where she significantly boosted diaspora engagement through innovative strategies.
Florence joins an executive team that includes Managing Director Dr. Naomi Kwetey and Deputy Managing Director Sheila Azuntaba. Her addition is expected to strengthen the synergy within the leadership team, as CBG pursues its goal of delivering impactful banking services to Ghanaians.
A graduate of Georgetown University (MBA) and UCLA (Cum Laude), Florence is also known for her advocacy for women’s economic empowerment and financial inclusion, particularly among women-owned businesses.
