Firefighters from the Tema Regional Command have successfully contained a blaze that broke out at Flour Mills Ghana Ltd on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. The fire affected the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors of the company’s production unit.
The flames were extinguished by 12:30 p.m., thanks to a swift emergency response. One worker, who suffered from smoke inhalation, was treated at the GPHA Clinic and is currently in stable condition.
While the fire caused significant damage to armoured cables, an electric panel, and some production machinery, firefighters managed to save key installations, including other equipment and parts of the upper floors.
