The Ministry of Education, with support from the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund), has handed over 20 Toyota Land Cruiser vehicles to selected Colleges of Education to improve monitoring, supervision, and administrative efficiency.
The handover ceremony took place on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) premises. Beneficiary institutions include Accra College of Education, Ada College of Education, Akatsi College of Education, Wenchi College of Education, Berekum College of Education, among others.
Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu, said the initiative is aimed at supporting college principals to effectively carry out administrative and oversight responsibilities.
“Ideally, I should have handed over 46 keys this morning, but due to logistical constraints, we are providing twenty vehicles today,” he stated.
Board Chair of GTEC, Professor Mahama Duwiejua, commended the Ministry and GETFund for the intervention and urged beneficiary colleges to ensure the vehicles are used strictly for official purposes to enhance teaching and learning.
