Don’t Blame Akufo Addo For The Presence Of LGBT Office In The Country- H. E. Atta Boafo

Government and President Nana Akufo-Addo is oblivious of practices of homosexuality in the country as well as the opening of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender office in Tesano in Accra therefore cannot close it down or publish any drastic regulations.

President Nana Akufo-Addo is not the person who authorize the people to set up their office.

The President is seriously against homosexual practices which is weird to Ghanaian culture, however, he cannot close down any office in the county, Ghana’ s Consulate General to Congo Brazzaville, H. E. Atta Boafo has asserted.

The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender group (LGBT)has organized a fundraiser which was attended by several diplomats across the world including the Australian High Commissioner who promised to support the organization.

Speaking in relation to the development on Kumasi- based Angel FM monitored by Ghanaarticles.com, His Excellency Atta Boafo said Ghana does not believe in same- s3x marriage or anything of that nature and the President, Nana Akufo Addo will not entertain the practice in the country.

Everyone has a right and freedom of Association according to the 1992 Constitution and you cannot criticize the President for someone’ s right to form an association of his choice, the Ghanaian Diplomat told host, Kwame Tanko during the exclusive interview.

Meanwhile, the National Coalition for Proper Human S3xual Rights and Family Values has reacted strongly to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) group setting up such an office in the capital city of the county. They are demanding a rapid closure of the administrative office for homosexuals.

According to the National Coalition for Proper Human Rights and Family Values, the presence of the LGBTQI office infringes the cultural values and sanity of the nation.

The coalition held a media briefing on Wednesday and brought out the hovering dangers and threats of the activities of the LGBTQ in the country.
